At Pwave we recognize that Project Management is not simply managing a construction process
but managing the project as a whole.
Clients developing projects are mainly focused on success elements of: safety, time, cost, and
quality. With our experienced project consultants ,Pwave ensures its commitment to the
project’s success.
Statistics show that over 70% of construction projects overrun the Original Budget and the
Baseline Schedule. Our project consultants provide on-site supervision and will act as the point
of contact with the Contractors and report to the client with status and issues. Pwave will also
advise on health and safety, and procurement strategy.
Pwave, by working closely on a daily basis with contractors, will make sure that the schedule is
worked to its details, progress is monitored, changes evaluated, and risk is managed.
Pwave encompasses the data gathering, management and analytical processes used to
forecast, understand, and constructively influence the time and cost outcomes of a project or
program; through the communication of information in formats that assist effective
management and decision making.
Put simply, Pwave encompass the people, processes and tools used to plan, manage and
mitigate cost and schedule issues and any risk events that may impact a project.
In other words, Pwave’s Project Controls department ensures the project management team
has all the tools and controls to manage a project from inception to completion with clear and
informed decision-making processes based on scientific analysis and structured problem solving
approach. The department consists of:
• Planning & Scheduling
• Cost Control
• Risk Management
• Change Management
Construction Projects are getting more complex and Contracts more detailed and can only be
managed by experts.
Pwave’s Contract Administrators will make sure all details and requirements are clearly
identified in the Contract (any omission will cost the client both time and money), all
correspondences are filed and managed for future claims and issues, all documents coded as
per Contract, and all costs and requirements filled by Contractors before award of Contract.
CA’s will also lead the bid evaluation process along with the Project Controls Engineer to
assure the best qualified contractor is selected for the job.
Pwave’s Contract Administrators will make sure to minimize client’s exposure to the risk of
additional costs and time extensions.
Pwave’s Quantity Surveyors will perform accurate take-offs for paymentpayment certificates, develop
BOQs quantities and descriptions as per specifications, quantities for variations and for
tracking purposes.
Change Management is a fundamental part of any project’s execution plan. The change
Management program supports the project forecasting but does not substitute it.
Final Forecast Cost/Schedule = Current Budget/Schedule dates + Approved Changes + Endorsed
Forecast Changes
Pwave’s Change Management Program allows the team to:
• Identify changes in scope, quality and services enough early to mitigate.
• Take corrective actions before any quality, schedule or cost impacts occur
• Initiate recovery measures
• Consider cost saving alternatives
• Consider schedule/time saving alternatives
• Improve communication between all team members
All project team members should contribute and be actively supporting the change
management program where any team member on the project should have the ability to raise
a change or alert the trend engineer about any deviation from the budget or schedule.
Every construction Contract allows the Contractor to claim EOT and money from the Client.
Pwave’s team will act as a partner in defending the Client’s rights by making sure that all
records are in place throughout the Contract.
From the Client’s view, there are financial implications to delays. From the contractor’s view,
the time delay implications include liquidated damages, overhead costs, cash flow crunch
limitation on bonding capacity and mainly a bad reputation for delayed project completion.
Pwave will ensure both parties are treated reasonably and fairly through detailed and well
documented justification and analysis.
Pwave will make sure that the Contractors will receive adequate reimbursement as per
contractual concessions . Pwave’s professional project controls engineers and contract
administrators will perform forensic analysis needed to understand the cause of claims and the
impact on the schedule & cost of the project.
